How I Clean Makeup Brushes ♥

Hey everyone!  It's really important to keep all of your makeup brushes clean, especially if you have sensitive acne prone skin like me.  If I forget to wash my brush and use a dirty brush to apply my face powder, I will break out the next day.  There are two different ways that I clean my makeup brushes :  daily spot cleaning and weekly deep cleaning.  I use to deep clean my makeup brushes with my sephora brush shampoo, but switched to hand soap and olive oil earlier this month.  I think this method is a lot more affordable and better than going out to buy those expensive brush shampoos.  You can also use antibacterial dish washing soap or even baby shampoo instead of the hand soap!

Products Used:

MAC Brush Cleanser
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Bath & Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom Antibacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Wash

  3. Hi Angel, do you have any tips on washing fine/pointy brushes? I bought a Stila #28 (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P134200) and when I washed it just now the eyeliner end totally split. :( :( :( I'm so disappointed! I've never had a brush that fine so maybe I washed it too hard? Do you know of a way to revive it?
